Batch # 13 Biology Analysis
Microbial Assay  and DNA Sequencing Test Results: June, 9th 2024

Each bag has a unique QR code linked to the actual monthly batch it was bagged from. We currently are producing 15 finished compost piles per month (we build 15 new piles every month, which will be ready in 6 months). We dedicate 8 piles (8 cubic yards of finished compost) to bagging and the remaining piles are saved for bulk sales or to be used to activate our bamboo biochar.

Before any batch is deemed "finished" or sellable, we randomly select 2 piles of the 8 to run microbial assay tests on them. If both samples pass the standard for biologically complete (and are within the acceptable standard deviation), we send a combined sample to a third party to perform DNA sequencing and soil biology pathways report. We create a batch landing page detailing the latest biology and DNA test results for the same “mother batch” compost material for every new series of product created, and we retain each “mother batch” at our lab for future retesting.

Just like fine wine, our biologically complete compost typically gets better with age...assuming you take good care of it!  Though we recommend you use the material within 6 months as the oxo-biodegradable bag (that we use) will start to break down (time/microbes/oxygen).
