UPDATE: 9/18 - large bags will be back in stock 2nd week of Oct… (just have a couple large bags left reserved for the soil health system bundles). We do have the small bag size in stock (3 pounds each) a little goes a long way, as you only need to blend up to 5%. This new batch we are selling has the newest goodness (humics, soybean protein and PSNB- see below). We think ours is the best pre-charged biochar soil amendment on the market.
Tired soil that dries out too fast or doesn’t hold nutrients?
When potting new plants or re-potting, blend in a handful of Soil Charcoal (fully activated) with your favorite organic potting mix to create a better biome for your plant roots. Filling a raised bed? Blend in up to 5-15% of Soil Charcoal with your native soil or to an organic raised bed mix for best results.
Healthy soil isn’t just about what you add, it’s about what your soil can hold. GROZOME Soil Charcoal improves your soil’s structure so it retains water, holds nutrients, and creates the ideal environment for beneficial microbes to thrive.
Each porous particle acts like a sponge and a long-term home for soil life, helping you build healthier, more resilient soil season after season. Soil Charcoal ships already activated and ready to provide plant and root goodness on day one!
Available in two sizes: 1.8 Gallon and 0.5 Gallon

How We Make It:
We slow heat 750 pounds of dried bamboo poles in a batch pyrolysis (no oxygen) unit to a temp of 450 C making biochar.
We precision grind the Bamboo biochar to a consistent form factor
We screen the material to remove any dust
The Bamboo biochar is then washed to remove any residual salts (lowering EC)
The product then goes through a pH neutralizing step using our bamboo vinegar product.
Now the product is ready to be charged with humic acid and plant based Nitrogen (derived from hydrolyzed soybean protein.
Finally, the product is inoculated with our GROZOME Plant Probiotic including PSNB (purple non-sulfur bacteria).

So far I have been using Grozome on my fancy Chrysanthemum collection, and the weather has been hot.
However, they seem to have nice roots, white and fluffy after a couple of uses. I soak a bag of grozome in a 5 gallon bucket and use to water the plants, and I think they are looking good. Normally growers use a lot of fertilizer, but I have been using just a little organic feed, watering with grozome and my plants are looking healthy. I think it is helping the soil in the pots and the roots start to feed each other, so I don't need the chemicals.

Hey Lillian,
Fantastic to hear that GZ is helping your mums weather the extreme NC heat this summer. Deep healthy roots are critical to in achieving vibrant, healthy plants without relying on excessive fertilizers. Thanks again for sharing your success story with us, and we look forward to being a part of your future gardening endeavors via the Chrysanthemum Club!
The orchids are LOVING the Grozome being added to their weekly/ bi-weekly watering routines. I have 13 plants currently blooming and preparing to bloom this season, which is a new record for me, YAY! (Winter is the blooming season for a lot of window-sill orchid growers. I'm planning to show off and brag about Grozome at the local orchid society's show and sale the first weekend of March.
After watering my houseplants with Grozome extract only 2 times my plants sent out new nice fresh growth, especially the Pothos, even my cactus, and the orchids bloomed!
I’ve had a Christmas Cactus for a few years with occasional blooms. After using GROZOME for the last couple of months the cactus exploded with multiple blooms.
WOW, Warm Char is super easy and works! I have added biochar to my wormbin in the past but it never made up all of the bedding. I found that it helped control odors and prevented the bedding from getting too hot when i added a lot of nitrogen rich material like ground flour to help speed up population growth. I got the idea from a youtube video in which the author experimented with adding biochar to the worms feed. The theory was that the biochar acted as a microbial reef and since composting worms eat microorganisms that have consumed food scraps the protective environment for the microbes resulted in more microbes and more feed for the worms. It worked well for me and seemed to allow me to feed more in a shorter period of time but breaking up the biochar can be a headache...this product saves me a lot of time.
I am really glad to learn of this product. It never occurred to me to use biochar in conjunction with vermicomposting, but as smell has always been the prime detractor indoors, this seems logical. And excited to see how adding Worm Char to bins will improve my worm casting supermix and how it will perform.

For our Root Activator, you should only use is once or twice in growing season. Remember, more is not more. Due to the acidity, adding more than what the directions suggest could throw off soil pH if you are not careful. Some folks actually need to low pH due to their native soil type, so this could be useful of a non-synthetic chemical means to do so. FUN TIP: Try using it (undiluted) on a pesky insect issue ;)
How come there's no information about which microbes/bacteria it's derived from? How do I know you're not using another product and then relabeling it and calling it your own name as if it's your own product but in reality you are using some cheap product that you break down into smaller batches and charging 10 times more for it?! None of your products disclose what they are made from. I find that to be very unprofessional and sneaky and not transparent about what your product is made from and what actually gives those benefits. For this exact reason myself and a few commercial growers are not going to use this products! BUYER BEWARE!

Hi Dick,
Transparency is very important to us, second to quality and consistency though. On our Home page (in the main header) is the link to all our third-party testing reports (https://grozome.com/pages/analyses-quality-testing) which has the DNA reports on all the beneficial biology in GROZOME, which are updated annually. GROZOME has been applied to 40,000 acres this past Spring, to some of the largest organic and regenerative farms in America. We do not take this trust lightly. Our product is literally under the microscopy daily by our product team, our customers and our exclusive partner for big Ag distribution - Hiwassee Products. As far as ingredients, they are all listed on our website on the "what is GROZOME" page.
